I dislike: Pimp my crappy junk

I just watched an episode of “Pimp my ride” and again I’m asking myself: Are these piece-of-shit “cars” really allowed to be driven on your streets? Is this some sort of accident-gambling? I know, most Americans think that Germans are too obsessed with the conditions of their cars. But we’ve got a reason – We like to live.

Whenever Xzibit gets a new car to pimp, I can’t help but think: This is an accident waiting to happen. The only places where you could see cars like that in Germany are junkyards. That’s exactly why we have main inspections every 2 years.

This is one of the really rare positive examples of German bureaucrazy (yep, it’s intentional).
